Choose the family that fits the application

Each family is built around the same idea: a cleaner, better-finished enclosure for compatible breakout-board layouts. What changes is the amount of room and application flexibility the project needs.

Scout Family
Compact and flexible
Small footprint • strong DIY and light install fit

Scout is the smallest family in the line and the easiest place to start when you need a compact indoor enclosure for a clean, practical project build.

  • Best for smaller indoor projects
  • Available as Unloaded or Loaded
  • Compatible 30-pin and 38-pin layouts
  • Approx. size: 3.15" × 4.09" × 1.77" to 3.54" × 4.09" × 1.77"
Ranger Family
More room and relay flexibility
Builds on Scout • stronger middle ground

Ranger gives you more working room and more flexibility without jumping all the way to the largest family. It is a strong fit when the project benefits from a little more space or relay-oriented hardware.

  • Great middle-ground enclosure family
  • Available as Unloaded or Loaded
  • Built for projects needing more flexibility
  • Approx. size: 4.13" × 4.09" × 1.77" to 4.65" × 4.09" × 1.77"
Command Family
Coming soon while the Command layout is redesigned
Roadmap family • preview page available

Command is still planned as the broadest family in the WestTechHA line, including direct 5V and 12V direction, but it is not being released in its current form. A redesign is in progress.

  • Largest family in the roadmap
  • Not currently open for standard ordering
  • Preview page stays online while redesign continues
  • Approx. size: 6.89" × 4.49" × 1.77"

Unloaded vs. Loaded

The family tells you which enclosure path fits the project. Unloaded or Loaded tells you how much of the hardware path you want WestTechHA to handle before it arrives.

Unloaded
Unloaded for your hardware plan

Unloaded is built for the customer who already knows the hardware path and simply needs the enclosure family that fits the project.

  • Best for bring-your-own-hardware projects
  • Good fit for experienced DIY and installer work
  • Cleaner enclosure path without unnecessary hardware bundling
Loaded
Pre-loaded for the selected family

Loaded is exactly what it sounds like: the enclosure is pre-loaded with the hardware appropriate for the selected family. At the moment, the active standard family paths are Scout and Ranger while Command remains coming soon.

  • Best when you want more handled up front
  • Hardware package follows the selected family
  • Quoted based on family and application needs
